The colour change you are experiencing is due to your eyes adjusting to the red light while in use and perceiving it as yellow. This is normal.

You can test this by asking someone who has not been looking at the light to confirm they are red when you perceive them as yellow or you can take photos of the device when you see it as yellow and look back at the pictures later in the day to see the colour is red.
